LAMP
LAUNCHING SOON MAY 2025
The LAMPS metal frame, developed by Dowel Jones, holds a material skin designed by Georgie Brunmayr, crafted from natural yarns, shaped by stitch structure, and brought to life through colour. The result is a quiet interplay of two industries coming together.

ELLIPSE
Created using seamless knitting technology and produced through a hyper-local supply network sourced by Georgie Brunmayr. A 4-metre textile tube, densely filled with feather down, forms a soft, sculptural object designed for interaction, inviting movement, rest, and play across all ages.

QUILT
Developed through a custom quilting process using legacy mattress machinery, this piece explores how industrial methods can be reprogrammed for soft, sculptural outcomes. The textile was woven in Geelong using wool, then layered and quilted to specific densities before being hand-stitched to a contoured foam form. The result is a padded surface that challenges conventional upholstery and production methods.
FOG
As part of the adidas team, Georgie Brunmayr contributed to the successful launch of all footwear developed in partnership with Fear of God. Her role extended beyond production, focusing on future innovation pipelines that aligned with Jerry Lorenzo’s vision of elevated sportswear. This involved the development of custom yarns and sustainable alternatives to leather and suede, using knit structures and finishing techniques to mimic luxurious tactility while reducing material impact.

ADIDAS
As material lead across both inline and future projects, Georgie worked across all material categories, leading knit developments while gaining deep expertise in non-wovens, foams, and experimental fibres. She collaborated with global suppliers to develop new yarns and material platforms, including research partnerships with institutions like MIT. Georgie helped shape adidas’ long-term innovation strategy while ensuring readiness for production—contributing to market launches such as the Knit Runner, Knit Runner Boot, 450, and 900. She also led internal workshops, building a shared material knowledge culture across the design team.
SANTONI
As the sole material designer at Santoni Shanghai, Georgie specialised in synthetic and technical yarn development—visiting local mills regularly to create custom fibres and structures with performance at the core. Working closely with brands across sectors including automotive, fashion, home, and tech, she led fast-paced prototyping and problem-solving sessions in the showroom. Projects ranged from car interiors and bike frames to VR headsets and swimwear, each built from the yarn up with a focus on precision and purpose. Georgie directed a team of technicians across multiple machine types, ensuring the smallest material details aligned with the end use.
WOOLMARK
As lead materials designer at Eva x Carola, Georgie directed the development of a seamless Merino wool activewear collection in collaboration with The Woolmark Company, Santoni, and Südwolle. The project focused on integrating natural fibres into circular knitting technology, resulting in 12 performance-led prototypes shown globally.
Significant focus was placed on structure and colour, developing flowing yarn transitions that created soft gradients, subtle details that elevated both form and function.
CURIO
PRACTICE
Founder and creative director of Curio Practice, Georgie leads all concepts and design development. Working to the highest standard, she collaborates closely with mills to source and spin custom yarn blends, developing full textile collections driven by curiosity and continuous material exploration.
